Enabling the Results – Structured Coaching, Mentoring and Random Checks by Middle Management Post Training
Too often money spent on training is wasted. Why? Because the training was not aligned to operational goals to begin with and/or the training ended when the “classroom” session ended. It was at this point that the opportunity for learning is there, but, without process based follow up, the opportunity to get the change in results is lost.
With both JR and JI, participants finish the 10 hour delivery with some skill. Reality now affronts them and they need to continue the application of the part developed skill in their workplaces without delay, thus building proficiency. Through a process that checks the vital elements of each skill, and the impact on work area performance, the chances of success from the training investment is substantially increased.
About the Facilitator:
Oscar has a manufacturing background having worked in operations management with Fonterra, Golden Circle, and Mildura Fruit Juices. He started his own business in 2000 and now works with Ben Chopping and 4 others in building the capability of people in reaching operational goals. Oscar was trained by the TWI Institute in 2010 and has facilitated application of TWI skills with South Australian Health, DeBortoli Wines, Tatura Milk Industries, Warburn Estate, Vitasoy Australia, McWilliams Wines and others. The basic leadership of skills, JI ad JR in particular, are now foundational to most improvement projects that Oscar facilitates no matter the industry or business.
