Every Person Deserves a Good Boss!  Cultivating compassionate and skillful leaders using Job Relations

Presented By:

Lis McNicholl & Dave Hyem

Session Abstract:

An organization is only as good as the people. Creating an environment where people feel valued, are treated with dignity and encouraged to excel is key to high performing teams. It is the primary responsibility of leadership to create this environment. We have observed that many leaders are often not skilled in this area and lack the tools to do this well. Job Relations training provides a fundamental set of skills that anyone can learn, practice and improve.

We will share our journey bringing Job Relations to our organization, Interiors Responsibility Center (IRC), a Boeing Fabrication business unit of more than 2,400 employees located in Everett, Washington.

Learning Objectives:

In this session you will learn:

  • The role of top leadership and ways to involve them in the process
  • An innovative way of teaching Job Relations
  • How to harness the six sources of influence to create sustainable change
  • The importance of Follow-up and how to do it, including practical toolkits we use
